106 Young St, Cremorne

Sydney Strata Engineers was engaged to prepare the remedial scope, regulated design documentation, and tender package for targeted waterproofing and concrete remediation works at 106 Young Street, Cremorne. The primary issues addressed were rooftop waterproofing failure to Block E, associated drainage and overflow deficiencies, localised concrete spalling, and water ingress affecting Unit 20.

The remedial scope included removal of the existing rooftop membrane and screed, repairs to cracked and spalled concrete, installation of a new PVC sheet membrane system, upgrades to flashings and overflow provisions, and associated reinstatement items including anchor points and concrete plinths. Separate crack injection works were also specified to the concrete slab soffit above Unit 20 to prevent ongoing water ingress into the internal living area.

Sydney Strata Engineers prepared the project documentation in accordance with the Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020 (NSW), enabling the Owners Corporation to tender a clear, compliant and buildable remedial package. The outcome is a durable long-term waterproofing and structural repair solution designed to improve rooftop performance, reduce the risk of recurring water ingress, and restore confidence in the asset’s ongoing condition.
